Unity Day

TADA encourages all students at RCW to participate in Unity Day on October 23. The call to action is simple—wear and share the color orange—as a visible representation of the supportive, universal message that our society wants to prevent bullying, and is united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Students and parents can find out more about what they can do at https://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/unity-day.asp.

In recognition of Unity Day, high school students have volunteered to work with the 5th grade class to discuss the topic of bullying and how to prevent it.

In addition to Unity Day, Red Ribbon Week is right around the corner. Parents are encouraged to visit http://redribbon.org/pledge/. Here, parents and students can take the pledge to stay drug free. This a great resource and an excellent tool to start discussion on this topic.
