Overview

Bright Beginnings is a preschool class for 3-4 year olds designed to create a life-long love of learning! Through daily hands-on experiences and learning through play, the children gain experiences to enhance their learning and development. The children are exposed to many different concepts and engage in activities that are developmentally appropriate. 

Throughout the school year we will be exploring many new things that will help the children with their beginning skills for school. Our main focus will be on learning shapes, colors, and numbers/counting. There will be monthly themes along with math and science focus points. We will also be learning how to follow routines, listen to directions in a classroom setting, social/emotional behaviors, and large/fine motor skills.

We will continuously practice skills such as cutting, coloring, identifying and writing our name, number recognition, counting, ordering, sorting, patterns, and ordinality. These are great skills to work on at home with your child, as well, to help them progress and succeed in school! The children will use a variety of art materials and participate in music experiences, as well.
